The political campaigns in the U.S. are becoming more and more like reality TV. The lashing from each party against one another is getting a little old now. You have to admit that these ads are now becoming more personal, rather than political. Even local politicians have begun to invest in bashing ads against their opponents. So when will CBS, Bravo, or any other TV channel pick up a reality show of these politicians? What if we created a reality show on each party...hmmm how would that turn out? Super funny I bet, and no one would respect any of them.
Why?! B/c while economy continues to go down, political campaigning continues to become more personal. Whatever happen to us? What about us, the American people? When will they consider us? Rather, it's all about the race to Casa Blanca! Oh my - when can we race to our next home that we can afford? Hmmm....maybe in 2020 when the economy finally achieves steady growth and small businesses are not taxed so heavily? Well at this point, we can just continue to hope we will win the lotto. Perhaps that will be our hope at the moment. I am sure the sales of lotto is tripled. Heck, I have even seen a man at my old job try to figure out the pattern in the lotto numbers that were selected randomly by a machine from the previous year. Can we say desperate?
Well back to the political ads - the constant negativity surrounding these ads makes the Olympics something to look forward to this summer. I mean the Olympics will be probably be the highlight of our summer and not even the elections that will take place this year. At this point, I don't even think that a party matters, what matters is who can do the best job to turn the bad economy around. Or is it even impossible to turn it around considering how deep of hole we may be in?
As I write this blog, I see a TV ad against Obama. I be the next TV commercial will be against Romney. Share your thoughts with us.
